First, muddle sugar, brown in this case, a splash of water, and a few dashes of bitters in the bottom of a cocktail glass.

This drink is built in and old-fashioned glass and garnished with an orange peel, much like a Negroni is.

The cinnamon sticks are my addition, I like the sent mixed with the bourbon.
