I have fond memories of opening the ornament box every year and finding all of my handmade childhood ornaments. Just like this Easy Pasta Christmas Ornament DIY, I am sharing here with you today!

One of my favorites is the macaroni star one that has a photo of me in the middle. That is what inspired me to create this version with my nephew, featuring a photo of all his favorite people - our family!

This post is brought to you exclusively by King of Christmas. The gifted tree you see featured here is the King Noble Fir, 8 feet, unlit. King of Christmas provides the highest-quality Christmas trees available, perfect for creating lasting memories in your home.
What you need:
Here is a quick list of the tools I used to make this craft. I made a template you can download of the stars; find it below. They are just the right size to fit and an Instax photo behind, with just a little trimming, but the center cutout fits the photo perfectly!
Tools I used:
- Scissors
- Glue
- Instax Camera and Film
- Gold Spray Paint
- Elbow Macaroni
- Empty Cracker or Cereal Box
- Ribbon or String, for finishing and hanging
Method:
Start by printing out the template, cutting it out, and tracing it onto thick card stock. In my case, I used an empty Cheez-It cracker box, lol. Cracker or cereal boxes work great, you probably already have one on hand, and they give a sturdy base to the craft.
Once you have the stars cut out, as many as you need, use your scissors carefully or use a box cutter or a proper cutting mat to remove the center cutout for the photo later.
Then it's time to start gluing on pasta noodles. This is where my 3-year-old nephew came in; he had a blast putting all the noodles on!
Once all the noodles were on and the glue was dry, I took them outside and spray painted them with the gold paint, and added bows and ribbon for hanging.
Then it was time for a photo shoot. I had everyone put on their favorite Christmas shirt and took a Polaroid of each member of the family. It takes just a little trimming of the photos, I remove the top corners and a bit of the bottom, and then glue them onto the back of the pasta Christmas ornament frame that we have now made.
All that's left to do is adorn the tree with your DIY Easy Pasta Christmas Ornaments and watch them sparkle in the twinkle lights! Little G is at the perfect age; hanging the ornaments is his favorite thing to do.
