I don't think I have ever enjoyed a pasta salad more than at the first bite of this BLT Pasta Salad. It holds so many rich, delicious flavors, I am obsessed!

I have finally perfected my homemade ranch dressing and making it right in the bowl with the veg for this salad infuses it with so much flavor and I think that is what makes this BLT Pasta Salad great!
Ingredients
You might call this a BLT PLUS salad, lol. I like the addition of the avocado and corn to brighten it up a little bit, along with the red and green onions for a little kick.
This recipe requires a little bit of knife work, but it is overall, simple to put together. Things like cutting the corn off the cob, and slicing and dicing the tomatoes, onions, and lettuce.

Method
I start by creating a flavorful base in the bottom of the bowl for this salad. First, toss the onions with the vinegar and let them marinate for a few minutes, then mix in the tomatoes and avocados before adding in the dressing ingredients.
Then cook your favorite pasta according to the package directions, drain and rinse it off, toss it into the bowl, and coat it with the dressing. You can pause at this point and throw this in the fridge for a few hours or overnight to marinate before serving. It just gets better with age.
Before serving, I mix in the lettuce, bacon, and corn, and top with extra avocado, bacon, green onions, and tomatoes if you have extras.
I said it before, and I will say it again, I LOVE this salad! This is my go-to for any summer parties, or backyard bbq's. Anywhere you'd take a pasta salad, take this one and I guarantee you'll leave with an empty bowl!
More great Pasta Salads
While this one tops my list as my favorite, I have a few other options for pasta salad you might enjoy too. From the ultra-flavorful Green Goddess Pasta Salad to my Italian Pasta Salad and Pesto Pasta Salad. Though my second favorite may be my Caesar Pasta Salad, top that with some grilled chicken and I am a happy camper!

BLT Pasta Salad
I don't think I've ever enjoyed a pasta salad more than at the first bite of this BLT Pasta Salad. With so many rich flavors, I am obsessed!
Ingredients
- 2 ears Corn, grilled
- 1 pound Pasta, any kind - cooked to package directions
- 1 medium Red Onion, finely sliced
- 1 bunch Green Onions, chopped
- ¼ cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- 2 each Avocado, one diced, one sliced
- ½ pound Various Tomatoes, diced or halved
- ¼ cup Ranch Seasoning
- 1 ½ cups Mayonnaise
- ½ cup Sour Cream
- 6-8 slices Bacon, crisped and chopped
- ¼ head Iceberg Lettuce, chopped
- Kosher Salt, Diamond Crystal
- Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil on the stove and season it generously with salt. Boil the corn in it for 5 minutes, then remove the corn and cook the pasta in it to package direction for al dente. Drain and rinse with cool water to stop it cooking and chill it down.
- In a large bowl combine the red and green onions with the vinegar and toss to coat and let them quick pickle for a few minutes.
- Stir in the avocado and tomatoes, and toss to coat the avocado in the vinegar to avoid their browning.
- Make the draining in the bowl by adding in the ranch seasoning, mayo, and sour cream. Stir till well combined.
- Toss the bacon, lettuce, corn, and cooled pasta into the bowl with some salt and pepper. Taste and add more seasoning if needed.
- Let chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours or overnight before serving.
- Top with more corn, bacon, and the sliced avocado to garnish before serving if desired.
Notes
You can cook fresh strips of bacon in the oven at 425˚F for about 20 minutes. Alternatively, I sometimes use the real bacon bits from Costco. Refresh them by warming them in a saute pan on the stove until they become crisp. Drain on a paper towel-lined plate, then use as directed in the recipe. Use this as a simple shortcut.
