When you want to whip up some cocoa on a cold day, it should be easy, and that's where this 3 Ingredient Nutella Hot Chocolate comes in! It only takes a few minutes to warm up and is decadently delicious.

My nephew who is three this year went absolutely wild for hot cocoa in any form this holiday season. So when I made him this "fancy" version, I got THE BEST reaction from him.
To say he was in love at first sip, might be an understatement.

Nutella Hot Chocolate
Whip up this decadent Nutella Hot Chocolate for you or the ones you love. Perfect for the holiday season, while equally great for Valentine's Day!
Ingredients
- ½ cup Nutella
- 2 cups Half and Half or your preferred milk
- ½ teaspoon Kosher Salt, diamond crystal
- Fresh Whipped Cream, optional for serving
- Freshly Grated Chocolate, optional for serving
Fresh Whipped Cream
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- ¼ cup Powdered Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Vanilla Bean Pastes
Instructions
- Combine the Nutella, half-and-half, and salt in a small saucepan and warm over medium-low heat, stirring often, until hot but not boiling.
- Serve immediately with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, as desired!
Fresh Whipped Cream
Whip cream, sugar, and vanilla together in a stand mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form on the end of the whip.
Notes
I use a grater to shave my favorite chocolate bar to top the hot cocoa with. This isn't a must, but it makes it feel a little extra special.

I prefer to use half and half when I make my Nutella Hot Chocolate, it's just a little bit richer, and just makes it taste AMAZING! While you can use ANY milk or alternative milk you need to, if you can, USE HALF AND HALF. It's so worth it!

I know that I am sharing an easy version of hot cocoa, but if you have the time, and the cream in the fridge, make some fresh whipped cream for topping. It adds to the richness of this beautiful hot chocolate, but if time is of the essence, storebought is TOTALLY fine!
